We have major Semester Opening Days, usually held at the beginning of each semester (August and January) and regular openings afterwards.
For our Regular openings: ReStore is open to visitors every Tuesdays 17:15 - 18:15.
Check out our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for other details and updates.
We have two buildings at Moholt Studentby in Trondheim. ReStore Red is the old Moholt kindergarten, which is down the hill from the new Moholt kindergarten. We organize donated items in this building. Also we have workshops for repairing bicycles and furniture at the same place. ReStore Yellow, is just behind the Red building, and we have a sewing workshop, plant room and a cozy space for our volunteers to have social events in this building.
You’re welcome to drop off donations at our donation spot located on the back porch of the red building at any time. Just follow the signs around the building.
But if you prefer a volunteer to receive your donations, kindly drop by every Tuesdays and Thursdays 17:00-19:00 (incl. mattress donations)
We'll take your household goods (big and small) that you think a student would be happy to have! Hangers, laundry racks, kitchen equipment, and desk lamps are especially popular items.
If you want to donate a mattress and toppers, please check out our specific donation hours for these items. Mattresses must be handed directly to a volunteer. For more information, kindly check this link.
For bed frames, duvets, blankets, pillows and bed covers, feel free to drop these at our donation spot at anytime.
*Note: If you leave your mattresses on the porch, we will have to dispose of them and they won’t get a chance to be reused.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer pick up services at the moment.
Everyone is welcome to visit or volunteer at ReStore! However, priority is given to students!
Hytta is a small "trust ReStore" located in the small shed on the northern side of the Red Building! With Hytta we want to to fasten the reusing cycle, especially for smaller items like hangers and small furniture, and essentials like kitchen items! Hytta is only for taking items, and is not our donation spot!
Hytta is open on Thursdays and Saturdays 12:00 - 19:00
Yes and it's ReSykkel that facilitates the bicycle rental. To rent a bicycle, keep an eye on our social media platforms or WhatsApp channel for announcements. We typically host one or more rental events or as we call Opening days at the start of the semester or depending on how many bicycles are available. Since ReSykkel has limited bicycles, you need to sign-up and wait for a confirmation. Once your spot is confirmed, you can check out the bicycles, pay the deposit and service fee, and the bicycle is yours for the term!
Duration: You can rent a bike for either one or two semesters.
Deposit: There is a one-time deposit of 700 NOK, which is fully reimbursed when you return the bicycle.
Service Fee: A fee of 150 NOK is charged per semester to cover maintenance and service.
Everyone is also welcome to join ReSykkel's open workshop every Thursday 18:00- 21:00 at Prestekragevegen 14, where you can fix your bike, socialize and have snacks!
For questions, feel free to contact resykkel-project@restore-trd.no or info@restore-trd.no
We're just a bunch of people who don't like seeing good stuff go to waste.
All these goods were donated by past students to help you out. We ask that you put it forward by bringing the items back when you're done with them :)
We are also lucky to have generous support from Sit Bolig.
We’re always happy to have more volunteers. We especially need volunteers in December/January and May/June. You can volunteer as much as you want and have time for!! Check out this link for becoming a volunteer and more information!
You can also donate via Vipps. Our Vipps number is 571348.
We do not accept the following items:
Food
Clothes
Baby carriers or strollers
Large appliances such as stove oven, dishwasher and refrigerator
